With my PhD in computer science, and international experience in mobile architectures, innovation and standards, my current research concentrates on trust. Trust is essential for a future internet as well as for many important areas ranging from electronic commerce to social networking to open software such as Linux.

I am interested in processes and technologies that are 'designed for trust', that help recognise trust where trust is due and help facilitate the assessment of justified trust, in accord with our needs.

Everyday observations teach us that we have no problems with trust between a small animal and a person, as shown on this picture (left) from Jolanta's collection. However, when it comes to ICT technology, devices and computers, the story gets complicated.
